My Gear Series: For years I've been using a homemade towing system. It was shown to me at a whitewater clinic. It's just made of nylon webbing with a loop on each end and a carabiner. It works well for short distances, like across a narrow river. These days I use the tow system in open water and for longer distances so I've decided to buy a real tow line. I'm going to try the NRS 50 foot tow line with a quick-release waist band.
